When my daughter first asked me if she could have a milk shake for breakfast I immediately said no. After all, what good mother would feed her child ice cream for breakfast? Then I thought about it. First of all, ice cream packs a walloping amount of calcium.

My best friend loves eating pizza for breakfast. She always orders a large pie so that she is guaranteed a few extra pieces to munch on the next morning. Frankly, I find the idea of biting into a cold slice of pepperoni, mushroom and black olive pizza (her favorite) rather revolting.

Earlier this morning, I posted the recipe for the puff pastry. Now I'll let you in on a secret: you can prepare this filling and use plain old puff pastry from the grocery store if you want. While I still think it tastes better homemade, certainly mom won't mind.
