Healthy and Delicious Yogurt, Honey, and Granola Breakfastby Catherine Ipcizade | More from this Blogger 17 Oct 2006 06:49 AM With the holidays quickly approaching, you may be looking for meal ideas that will fill you up without bulking you out. This is a great recipe for that. The consumption of three milk products per day has been shown in recent studies to aid in weight loss and weight management. And the fiber in granola will help keep you healthy and full. This recipe is flavorful and healthy, rich, yet light. It'll satisfy your sweet tooth, fill your stomach, and leave you eager to eat it again and again. Make it for yourself, for your family, or for your next get together. For this recipe you'll need: 1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt ¼ cup of your favorite granola 1 tsp. good honey (I love orange honey) To make this recipe: Line a bowl or a strainer with paper towels. Pour the yogurt into the bowl or strainer and allow the juices in the yogurt to drain for at least an hour in the refrigerator. This will make your yogurt creamy and delicious. Pour the drained yogurt into a bowl and add the granola. Drizzle honey over the top and eat. You can also add berries to this meal for added flavor and goodness *If you're trying to watch your waistline, look for a granola that has less fat and calories than others. Typically, ¼ cup of granola will be about 100 calories. Some varieties may have 8 or more grams of fat, but many products available today contain much less than that..
