Keeping Favorite Recipes in One Book

Do you have some favorite recipes that you cook maybe several times a month? If you do, are your favorite recipes all together or must you look each of them up in separate cook books every time you want to make one of them?
Well I certainly have favorite recipes that I cook over and over, and after having to look up these recipes in each of the cookbooks that they come from each time that I need to prepare a shopping list, I decided to find an alternative to storing my recipes.
I got a journal-type notebook (about 4" x 7") that has a hard cover on the front and back of it and the pages are lined. In this journal I keep all my favorite recipes. I do have to write each recipe out by hand (I suppose you could also print out the recipes and glue them in also) but it wasn't that lengthy of a project for me since I didn't write all the recipes out at one time.
If I had 5 extra minutes, I'd sit on the couch and write one recipe in the notebook, and before too long I had all my favorites contained in one book with plenty of space left for more favorite recipe finds (which I add to my book quite often now since it's all organized).
Now when I need to make a quick run to the grocery store, I can just grab this notebook to easily find the recipe ingredients I need for that week's meals. Or I can simply take the notebook with me into the grocery store if I'm really in a rush to get there.
I highly suggest you compile your favorite recipes into one book. Doing so has made my cooking and grocery shopping a lot easier.
