My Mom's Tuna Sandwichesby Catherine Ipcizade | More from this Blogger 27 Jul 2006 07:52 PM Mom's make the best sandwiches, don't they? I know mine does. Toast too. She butters every last inch of it just perfectly. This recipe actually comes from my grandma. My grandma made it for my mom and my mom made it for me and now I make it for my kids. It's simple. It's yummy, and it's great for summer: To Make This Recipe You'll Need: (all ingredient amounts are approximate) 2 cans tuna (your favorite brand in oil or water-the oil has more flavor, the water is healthier) 1 Cup lettuce 1 large tomato, diced 1/2 onion, diced 1/2 to 3/4 cup Miracle Whip 3 to 4 TB yellow mustard 2 Hardboiled eggs, diced (optional) 2 sweet pickles, diced To Make Drain the tuna and add it to a large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Serve on toasted white bread for a delicious treat, or on your favorite bread. Dang it Cathy, it is 12:46 am and now you have me wanting a tuna sandwich - LOL! Catherine Ipcizade (5617) 29 Jul 2006 12:31 AMhahahahahha--I sure do my best, Libby. Heheheh. I agree..I like it better when it's sat in the fridge a bit. :-) Community Tags Easy Meals, Food, recipes, Sandwiches, Tuna Discuss this article
