I love brownies, especially those that have peanut butter in them. Here are a couple of recipes I hope you will enjoy!

Peanut Butter Brownies (Original)

For this recipe, you will need butter, unsweetened chocolate, flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and peanut butter.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1/3 cup of butter and two squares of chocolate together then set aside. In a small bowl, combine 2/3 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. In a larger bowl, beat two eggs and 1 cup of sugar until light. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add the flour mixture to this bowl and mix well. Finally, add the chocolate mixture and stir. Pour into a greased 8" x 8" square baking dish.

For the topping, combine 1/3 cup of peanut butter, 2 tablespoons of softened butter, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, and one egg. Beat that until combined well then drop spoonfuls of it on top of the brownie layer. Run a butter knife through it to several times to marbleize the brownies. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes then allow the brownies to cool before serving.

Peanut Butter Brownies (Easy)

For this recipe, you will need one can of chocolate frosting, peanut butter, one box of fudge brownie mix, chopped peanuts, cream cheese, eggs, vegetable oil, and half & half.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9" x 13" baking dish. Mix up the fudge brownie mix according to the package (this may require eggs and oil). Once that is mixed well, add 1/2 cup of chopped peanuts. Spread the fudge brownie mixture in the pan then set aside. In a medium bowl, combine 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, 1 egg, and 2 tablespoons of half & half. Carefully spread that over fudge brownie batter in the pan. Bake that in the oven for 30 minutes. While that is cooking, mix the can of chocolate frosting with 1/2 cup of peanut butter. After the brownies are done, allow them to cool then spread on the frosting.

Well, yeah, bad for all our hips :-) Why is it the really good stuff goes directly there? Why don't carrots go to our hips? :-) Hope your hubby enjoys them Jaime!
