As many of you know, the bloggers were on a brief hiatus. They ended their brief hiatus right before we left on our vacation to Disney World. However, you can keep reading the food blog because I am back and posting daily! Although this is a short week, here is your weekly shopping list. Don't forget: I want this to be as useful for my readers as possible so if you have formatting suggestions please feel free to comment or send me a private message! If you're lost and can't figure out what exactly this is all about. . .check out my introduction blog and my first grocery shopping list which due to the hiatus and vacation were published this past week.

Tidbits:

I started out with a question from the Ask a Food Blogger Forums: how to make a pie crust. Check out the blog for tips and tricks on getting your pie crust to turn out right every time.

It seems that there is a holiday for all manner of things. . .including special days to celebrate cooking and food. March 25th was Waffle Day. You can check out the blog to read about the origins, history and 'controversy' surrounding this special ode to breakfast. (Note: The blog was originally intended to be published March 25th but due to the aforementioned circumstances was not published until April 1st.)

On the forefront of 'food issues' is recent legislation passed that requires fast food restaurants to publish the nutritional information for all of their menu items.

On the lighter (or at least larger and even more calorie laden than a big mac) side of things, you can read all about our adventures to Plant City, FL; home of the world famous strawberry festival where we partook (solely for research purposes of course) of the biggest strawberry shortcake I've ever seen in my entire life!

Do you know the difference between a pudding, a mousse and a custard? Bone up on your cooking knowledge with this blog.
