Terrorism Chili, and Other Odd Food Newsby Valorie Delp | More from this Blogger 08 Oct 2007 08:55 AM Terrorism Chili The Thai Cottage in the Soho district of London, inadvertently closed roads and had an entire couple of blocks sealed off after Londoners reported being under chemical attack--possibly of a terrorist nature. The terrorist in question? A spicy chili made by the Thai cottage called nam prik pao. The chilis used to make this spicy Thai dip were left dry frying. Several people thought that the smell, wafting from the Thai cottage, was actually a chemical attack. The police broke down the door to the Thai cottage. No arrests were made because as the police chief points out, he is unaware that there is any law against making extremely spicy chili. Woman Rejects $100 Bill A woman, who bought a can of Allen's green beans from a Walmart, is rejecting the $100 hush money from the company who is profusely apologizing for the additional ingredient she found in her canned green beans. They are truly sorry that there was a severed mouse head in her green beans and if she'll only promise not to threaten legal action that $100 is hers. Although she's not threatening legal action, I have to say that it would take a lot more for me than $100 to be hunky dory with a mouse head in my canned green beans. People Flocking to This 40 Year Old Sandwich Well, it's not technically a real 40 year old sandwich, but people are flocking to Huntingdon, PA to see the first ever museum dedicated to just one sandwich: the Big Mac. That's right. . .the Big Mac gets its very own restaurant museum to celebrate it's 40th birthday. The museum is full of memorabilia and what we all are dying to see, the largest ever Big Mac statue. (Dare I say someone has too much time on their hands?) McDonald's estimates that they sell approximately 550 million Big Macs a year. But not everyone is thrilled about the Big Mac Museum Restaurant. Nutritionists are decrying the museum pointing out that, "Big Macs aren't really that good for you." (All I can say to that is. . .duh!)
