Throwdown! With Bobby Flay

If you enjoy watching the Food Network, you have probably seen one of America's premiere chefs - Bobby Flay. He has been the star of six Food Network shows (Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay, Grillin & Chillin, FoodNation, Boy Meets Grill, BBQ with Bobby Flay, and Throwdown!) in addition to appearing on the Iron Chef America series.

Bobby started his culinary career at a very young age. Working in Joe Allen's New York City restaurant at age 17, Allen was so in awe of Bobby's culinary skills that he paid Bobby's tuition to the French Culinary Institute. Bobby graduated in 1993, but unfortunately, he was just not into French cooking. Bobby made a name for himself by putting his own twist on southwestern cuisine.

Bobby's first restaurant, Mesa Grill in New York City, opened in 1991. Since then, Bobby has opened three additional restaurants - Bolo, a Mesa Grill in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City. Bolo was voted the best Spanish restaurant in New York City by Zagat.

Bobby married actress Stephanie March on February 20, 2005. He made a guest appearance on her series, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, in 2005.

My favorite series of Bobby's is BBQ with Bobby Flay. I like seeing the different BBQ places he visits - since barbecue is one of my all time favorite foods! What is your favorite Bobby Flay show?

I love Bobby Flay... I have ever since I saw him in his first show with Jack Mc-someone-or-other when he used to cook on the gas grill and the other guy would cook exclusively on the charcoal grill. I find him very engaging and I know he has a little girl from a previous relationship--though, I have never seen a picture of her...have you?

No Michele, when I was doing research for the blog, I saw her name mentioned a few times, but no picture. They said she was from a previous marriage of Bobby's but I didn't even see much about that.
