Easter and Marriage

Easter means different things to different people. As I’ve read a couple of other blogs I see some of those different traditions in families come out. To some people it means Easter bunnies and Easter egg hunts. To others it means church. Sometimes there is a combining of the two. Easter Basket Ambush

My mother-in-law was so sweet and sent the kids Easter baskets that arrived today. Who sends a one-year-old candy? It is just staring at me, as if to say, “I dare you.” I usually give up sweets for Lent, but not this year. I don’t have that extra excuse to keep me strong and withstand the urge to eat the goodies. Berry Easy Easter Desserts

Growing up, my grandma always made sure that our family’s Easter buffet included at least two non-chocolate desserts. My mom’s traditional bunny cake didn’t include chocolate, but our Easter baskets featured huge quantities of chocolate treats. Unique Easter Desserts

Growing up my mom would make the same dessert for Easter. Year after year after year she would bake a yellow cake in the shape of a bunny or an Easter basket, cover it with white frosting, then douse it with toasted coconut flakes.
